I have been interested in drawing and painting all my life and have worked in oils, pastels, watercolors and stained glass.  Several years ago, I visited a pottery studio during a 'Gallery Crawl' and noticed a few pottery wheels. I signed up for classes and have been hooked ever since.

After relocating to Charlotte, NC, I began studying at Carolina Clay Connection under the expert guidance of Leon Nichols and Jinny Hargrave.  Their teaching studio has given me the opportunity to experiment with the most fascinating and versatile medium I have ever encountered.

Practiced for thousands of years, ceramics can range from solely functional to purely decorative and everything in between.  It is without limits, and one can spend a lifetime learning and inventing.  As a potter, I strive to make functional objects that are beautiful as well.  It helps that I love drinking my morning coffee from a different mug every day of the week (or month or year)!
